Griselda Records founder Westside Gunn has opened up a new clothing store in his hometown of Buffalo, New York. The store, known as Buffalo Kids, sells clothing designed by the multi-talented rapper. It is located in Buffalo’s Walden Galleria and was recently packed with eager fans upon its grand opening. In a recent Instagram post, Westside Gunn expressed how amazing the grand opening went: “The @waldengalleria said I had the biggest opening(line) of All-time that they’ve ever seen in 32yrs no jordan, no Yeezy, No Apple… NOTHING!!! This is what Culture looks like All races, ppl from All over the country, not 1 incident, just All ❤️”.

Buffalo Kids’ inventory ranges from namesake crewnecks, to Buffalo Bills merch, to baby onesies. This creative venture highlights Westside Gunn’s passion for artistry that he has discussed at length in previous interviews: “I collect art for real. A lot of people rap about it, but if you come to my house, you’ll see some of the crazy shit. It’s like a museum in my house. From arcades to everything, toys, cars, got a four foot statue about to get shipped from Hong Kong. I feel like a kid. When it comes to art and wrestling, it keeps me still young. That’s my inspiration”.

The store is currently up and running with certain safety protocols in place due to the pandemic. Fans of Westside Gunn and the rest of the Griselda crew can head down to Walden Galleria in Buffalo to show their support. According to reports, the Buffalo native plans to host some meet and greets at the store in the near future–that is once Covid restrictions are loosened in the state.
