French Montana and Jim Jones Settle 15 Year Beef on Track “Too Late”

French Montana and Jim Jones have dropped a new music video for the record “Too Late”, a cut from French’s latest album CB5. This release marks the end of a 15 year beef between the two artists. French confirmed this on a post to his official Facebook page with the following caption:

“15 YEARS OF BEEFING ENDED UP WITH LAUGHS AND WAR STORIES ? BIG MOMENT FOR HIP HOP SHOUT OUT TO @jimjonescapo #thatsafact”.

They also held an Instagram Live video session in which they talked about their past issues and why it is important for people to settle disputes in a diplomatic manner.

Although the direct source of the beef between the two rappers is not concretely known, it was suggested in an interview with French Montana affiliate Max B that, “It was just egos clashing, a lack of respect. That sh*t don’t mix well, and next thing you know, we beefin”. In the same interview, it was also detailed that one of the other sources for French and Jim Jones’ conflicts was a dispute revolving around contract allegations.

The track “Too Late” features production from producers Arizonaslimbeats & Bhawkmusic. The track also interpolates the Florence + The Machine track “Long & Lost”. The accompanying music video, released this morning, features French and Jones giving back to local New York City communities. It displays the artists handing out Thanksgiving turkeys in the Mott Haven projects in the New York City borough of the Bronx. “Too Late” is the first track on French’s album CB5 and joins the slew of other tracks from that project to receive a music video on his official YouTube page.
