New Music That Dropped On, and Around X-MAS

Young M.A. dropped off a music video for “Kold World” directed by ShotbyCisco and produced by Zaytoven. Kold World is a track from her 2019 debut album, Herstory In The Making‘.

38 Spesh released a music video for “Stash Box” featuring Benny The Butcher from his new project, ‘Interstate 38’. The tape comes on the heels of the November mixtape, 1995 with mixtape legend Dj Green Lantern.

Troy Ave dropped the eighth installment of possibly his most popular mixtape series, White Christmas. ‘White Christmas 8‘ in it’s 9 tracks only has one feature from Pastor Rema. An actual pastor, now regular on the series. The cover for ‘WC8’ features a doll head with the “Almighty” version of Ave’s GIGP$ clothing logo overplayed on top.

Casanova let loose with Snoop Dogg on his new video “211”. This is Cas’ first musical output since he recently turned himself in to authorities. It is unclear what the future looks like for the Brooklyn emcee, personally and musically.

Westside Gunn re-released his cult classic FLYGOD, on Christmas. Originally released in 2016, it went on to become a marquee album in WSG’s catalog. No word on whether or not Gunn will retire in 2021, as planned. Since the announcement, he has teased several projects that we haven’t seen, including a new installment of Hall and Nash with Conway The Machine.

Other recent drops include Tory Lanez for “Boink Boink“, another 38 Spesh video featuring RansomMind Over Matter” and Paperchaser Online snuck out a rare Nas diss by Mobb Deep. Vintage vibes. G-HOLY‘s “One Night In Miami” came through on XMas Eve, marking a return from a 2 year hiatus. Lastly, Funk Flex released a  snippet of a new Rowdy Rebel freestyle. Check it out.
