2020: The Year Of Lil Baby and His “Turn”!

Lil Baby came blazing into 2020 after winning Artist of the Year during BET’s 2019 award ceremony. He also received his first ever Grammy nomination for best rap/sung performance last year. Lil Baby would start off 2020 by dropping My Turn in February, one of the most successful albums of 2020. The rapper’s second studio album would earn #1 on the billboard charts in March and go double platinum in September. The album would rake in over 260 million streams just 3 weeks after its’ release date and is currently counting over 4 billion streams. Baby would continue to deliver content by announcing the deluxe version of My Turn in May. This version would add 6 new songs giving fans a 26-song track list.

The rapper would feature on many successful hits this year including, Stunna 4 Vegas “Do Dat” with Da Baby, City Girls “Flewed Out”, Moneybagg Yo “U Played”, and Gucci Mane “Both Sides”. However, it would be the rapper’s solo projects that kept him trending and earning high spots on the charts. Lil Baby’s “Sum 2 Prove” would trend at #5 on Youtube shortly after its release in February. “Emotionally scarred would reach Billboard’s charts top 10 in late spring and #1 at Urban Radio in August. “The Bigger Picture” would peak at #4 on Billboard, #3 on Spotify charts, and #1 on Apple Music. “The Bigger Picture” would also earn Lil Baby two Grammy nominations in 2020 for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. The successful song was received as a protest anthem demonstrating Lil Baby’s involvement, stance, and support for the Black Lives Matter Movement and victims fallen to police brutality and other social injustices.

Lil Baby would go on to expand his 4PF team by signing artist ChaylnnMonee in November and dropping two more songs, “Errbody” and “On Me”, this month.
