Dada P has a new single, “Go N Get Da Muney” and sat down with G-HOLY.COM to let us know what he thinks about Memphis, TN rap legends and gets personal. Let’s go:

Give us the details on your new single and a bit about your clothing line..

My new single “Go N Get Da Muney” is my runner-up single off my album ‘Am I My Brothers keeper 2‘. I figure I will drop it first, since everyone that was in the studio keep asking when I was going to drop it. I am working on Am I my Brothers keeper but just getting the right beat and having a dope producer on board with me is slowing me down at the moment. I have the song but I fell in love with the beats that I wrote to them songs and it’s hard to recreate that energy and moment I had. I’m also repping my clothing brand, MGF, in the song. I am big on creating your own lane.

Would you consider your clothing line to be artist merch or its own seperate entity?

I consider my clothing line to be a separate brand. It represents the hustle, the grind  and the birthplace of life and immortality. If you look closely, I have the Ank in the middle along with Ptah Scepter.

Who is your Mt. Rushmore of Memphis artists?

My Mt Rushmore of Memphis artists are 8ball & MJG, 3 Six Mafia, Yo Gotti and Young Dolph.

What does 3 Six Mafia mean to you?

3 Six Mafia represents the city to me and I mean all around the board. I saw the grind they had as a group and the hustle that they laid down to keep it going through the ups and downs. If I had one word to describe 3 Six Mafia, I would say “resilience”.

Major or independent?

I personally like the independent route because you can learn the ins and outs of the business the long way because you’re putting your money into it. However, the withdrawal from this experience is that money can put limits on your craft and what you are allowed to do. Major, I have no problem with but I don’t want to get screwed over. Don’t get me wrong, if someone put money into you, I definitely believe they should get their money back and their fair share but it has to be a balance where I can eventually move on and take care of my family legacy.

Favorite label of all-time, go..

If I had to pick, I’d probably go with Aftermath. I always wanted to work Dr .Dre amd Timberland but to keep it 100, I grew up on Def Jam. I have a lot of respect for all of the iconic artists that was on the roster and put it down before me.

500 thousand dollars right now or flip a coin for a chance at 40 million dollars?

I would take the 500k. I can do research on how to Flip my bread to get to that 40 million.

Favorite film based in Memphis..

My favorite film based in Memphis would be The Firm besides Hustle n Flow. The only reason why I said The Firm [is] because growing up, [it was] the first movie that I saw as a child that represents Memphis on national level coming from a child eyes. I like Green Mile too.

The most underrated artist from The South is..

The most underrated artist, to me, in the South is Big K.R.I.T. It’s Just my opinion. Before Big K.R.I.T, I was riding with Trick Daddy and T Rock.
